First Impressions from CanJam - Prime Impressioni dal CanJam

I'm writing from my hotel room in Essen, waiting to leave to the Koeln-Bonn Airport.
I spent te last two days behind a a table, demonstrating the new Marley Headphones Amplifier to a few enthusiast and discerning headphones lovers.
Very few, I must say, reviewers were more than visitors (it's not strange, as Germany has as many as 8 hifi magazines!), so the show was quite unlike the crowded trade fairs we are used to. Nothing to compare with similar Far East events.
But it was a very important first time and somebody had to do it in Europe. Kudos to Carsten Hicking from distributor company Higoto for starting it all.
Headphones listening is likely to be the main way to enjoy good quality music within a few years, when all music lovers will be young people used to listen to iPods and smartphones by headphones and looking for better quality.
Moreover, it's much easier to make up a high-end headphones system with 2,500€ than a classic speakers system. In times of crisis, this is overly important.
It seems that there will be a similar event in Italy pretty son, I'll give you more information in one of my next posts.

Scrivo dalla mia camera di hotel in Essen mentre aspetto di andare all'aeroporto di Colonia-Bonn. Ho passato i due scorsi giorni dietro ad un tavolino, dimostrando il nuovo amplificatore per cuffie Marley a pochi,entusiasti ed esperti appassionati di cuffie.
Pochini, purtroppo, i giornalisti erano più dei visitatori (ma non è strano: in Germania esistono almeno 8 riviste di alta fedeltà!), per cui la mostra appariva ben diversa da quelle affollate a cui siamo abituati. Niente a che vedere con simili eventi che si tengono in Estremo Oriente.
Ma si è trattata di una importante prima volta e qualcuno doveva pensarci in Europa, per cui i miei complimenti a Carsten Hicking, distributore tedesco che ha dato ilvia a tutto questo.
L'ascolto in cuffia diventerà probabilmente il modo principale per ascoltare musica di qualità in pochi anni, quando tutti gli amanti della musica saranno giovani abituati ad usare iPod e smartphone per ascoltare musica con le cuffie.
Inoltre, è molto più facile realizzare un impianto hi-end per l'ascolto in cuffia con 2500€ che non uno tradizionale dotato di diffusori. In tempi di crisi, una considerazione non irrilevante.
Pare verrà organizzato un simile evento in Italia tra breve. Maggioridettagli in uno dei miei prossimi post.
